5 Ways to Organize Your Kitchen Cabinets

Whether it’s reorganizing the cabinets every time you reach for a pan or finding expired groceries, cabinet organization is key to keeping your kitchen neat and accessible. Here are some tips to better organize your kitchen!

1.) For the Kids

If you have little ones running around, be sure they are able to reach all their kitchen necessities! Set aside specific cabinets that are lower to the ground that are designated only for the kids. This may include their utensils, plates, bowls, and other kitchen needs. Prevent young kids from accessing knives or valuable china by storing these items in higher cabinets. Additionally, childproof cabinets that may contain dangerous items like cleaning supplies.

 

2.) Baskets and Bins

Organize all your products with baskets and bins. Sort by category such as spices, dish towels, and produce that shouldn’t be refrigerated. Using labels, this is an easy way to declutter and maintain cleanliness in your kitchen.

3.) Extra Shelving

While most cabinets only include one shelf, adding another for more storage opportunities may be useful. There is a wide range of shelving available, such as under shelf wine glass racks, under shelf baskets, and additional stackable shelves. This provides even more options to store canned foods, spices, dishes, and other items.

4.) Door Accessories

This unique hack is the perfect way to save space and easier access to commonly used items. Use hooks on the inside of cabinet doors to hang dishcloths, gloves or even measuring cups. Another option for cabinet doors is a corkboard. This can be used to pin important reminders, upcoming events, or even grocery lists for the household.

 

5.) Organize Your Kitchen Items

There are many available options to best organize plates, utensils, and other kitchen tools. Declutter the utensil drawer, with a utensil organizer for all your items. There are also kitchen organizers to store cutting boards, baking sheets, muffin/cupcake tins.
